COMPLEMENTARY
MEDICINES
There are numerous complementary medicines
available for game birds.
Complementary medicines have a role to play in game
bird management and may help to reduce the use of more conventional drugs. The use of
complementary medicines and conventional drugs can never be a substitute for good
management, which is the most important factor in successful game bird rearing and in
ensuring the welfare of the birds.
When
disease is present in birds it is important that a correct diagnosis is made by your
veterinary surgeon and that specific treatment, if available, is given to the birds.
