Cloversan:

Cloversan is a granular environmental disinfectant that absorbs many times it’s own weight of water. It is effective against a wide range of bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites and is safe for use with game birds.

Cloversan  should be spread on house floors before chicks are introduced and used as necessary to maintain a dry environment. It may also be used in outdoor pens to reduce the number of disease causing organisms.

Its advantages over other products include:

Being granular it creates less dust when being spread.

It is more absorbent than some competitor products.

Cloversan comes in a plastic container so it is protected from the environment if the whole container is not used.

Enviromist:

Enviromist is a blend of organic acids, plant extracts and oils which kill bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites. It can be used as a general disinfectant for equipment and for the ground as it causes no environmental contamination.

In addition to its use as a general disinfectant the main uses of Enviromist in game birds are to disinfect and regulate the pH of drinking water in order to influence the gut microflora and to spray over the birds at regular intervals to reduce the disease challenge to the birds.

Rate of use:

Mix 1 part Enviromist to 3 parts water for foot baths.

Mix 1 part Enviromist to 5 parts water for disinfecting equipment and the ground.

Mix 1 part Enviromist to 10 parts water for fogging over birds.

Mix 1 part Enviromist to 800 parts water for inclusion in the drinking water.
